between DEI and RCR? Some comparisions of #30-Steve Park and #1-Jeff Green. after the May Richmond race, Green was released from the #30 Richard Childress AOL Chevy and Park was released from the #1 Dale Earnhardt Inc. #1 Pennzoil Chevy. The same week, Green was named to drive the #1 car and Park was named to drive the #30, so how have they fared? Park: after 11 races in the #1 Chevy, Park had an average finish of 26.5; after 9 of 10 races in the #30 Chevy, Park’s finishing average is 26.0. Best finish in the #1 was a 10th, best finish in the #30 [so far] is 8th. Green: after 11 races in the #30 Chevy, Green had an average finish of 26.3; after 9 of 10 races in the #1 Chevy, Green’s finishing average is 25.7. Best finish in the #30 was a 7th, best finish in the #1 [so far] is 16th. Didn’t count Sonoma in Park’s average [43rd place finish] since Green didn’t race there in the #1, Ron Fellows did. Looks pretty even as trades go.(8-6-2003)
