NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series crew chief Dennis Connor was fined for a jacking bolt violation during this week’s event at Bristol Motor Speedway, NASCAR officials announced today. Connor, crew chief of the No. 2 Dodge of driver Jason Leffler, was fined $250 for the unapproved jacking bolt. NASCAR officials discovered the violation during Wednesday’s opening-day inspection. The crew chief was in violation of Section 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and Section 12-4-Q (Any determination by NASCAR Officials that parts and/or equipment in the Event do not conform to NASCAR rules) of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Rule Book.(NASCAR PR)(8-22-2003)
