Ward Burton and Bill Davis have not come to terms on 2004, but ‘communication is better,’ they say. Davis is bringing an engineer to the track, which Burton says is helpful. The two may still split at the end of the season. Burton reportedly is under consideration for a ride with the Rick Hendrick satellite operation owned by Gene Haas [but supposedly Jason Leffler has signed to drive the #0 in 2004 ]. USAC dirt star J. J. Yeley could get a tryout for the Davis ride.( Winston Salem Journal )(8-23-2003)
