Earning his degree in communications from the University of Utah, top-ranked NASCAR Grand National Division, Winston West Series competitor Scott Lynch has accepted a full time position with the Orleans Racing team. “I couldn’t be more pleased,” says Lynch. “Being able to work with a team of this caliber is a great opportunity for me. “In order to be successful in racing today, you really need to know every conceivable aspect of the sport from the ground up. Long gone are the days of just showing up to drive. Car set-up, marketing, public relations, mechanics, research and development, sponsor relations and more are all important in becoming a champion. And, I couldn’t ask for a better team to learn from than Orleans Racing.” Lynch, who currently sits in second place in the Winston West Series points, plus leads the Raybestos Rookie of the Year battle, has actually been associated with Orleans Racing since the beginning of this season. “Earlier this year, we reached an agreement with Orleans Racing to handle the prepping and crewing for our 08 Yerf-Dog Dodge,” continues Lynch. Their expertise and dedication to winning is invaluable and I feel lucky to have them behind me.”
“Scott Lynch is a welcome addition to our team,” says Orleans Racing’s General Manager Shane Wilson. He is an excellent employee and extremely dedicated to learning. He fits in with our entire crew and shares our very same goals.”(PR)(9-10-2003)
