Sprague starts early with new team:

Three-time Truck Series champ, Jack Sprague, has entered the Sept 27th Las Vegas 350 Truck Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Sprague holds virtually every Truck Series record at LVMS. In five career starts, he has two wins (1996 and 1998) and three runner-up finishes (1997, 1999 and 2001). There was no race in 2000 and Sprague did not compete in last year’s event [he was running in the Busch Series]. Sprague is the only driver with more than one win at LVMS. He also holds track records for most poles (three), most top-five finishes (five), most top-10 finishes (five), most laps led in a career (307), most laps led in a race (104 in 2001), most money won in a career ($299,300) and is one of only two drivers to ever win from the pole. David Starr is the other. Sprague finished sixth in the 2002 Sam’s Town 300 NASCAR Busch Series race and 26th in this year’s UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400 NASCAR Winston Cup event. Sprague will be a teammate of Travis Kvapil and will drive the #11 IWX Motor Freight Chevrolet.(LVMS PR)(9-19-2003)
