Points leader #62-Brendan Gaughan will start at the back of the field in his attempt to become the first NASCAR truck driver to win four straight races at a track because he lost an engine in practice and had to make a change in his Dodge before qualifying Friday. #16-Travis Kvapil won at Texas in the fall 2001 race, the last one Gaughan didn’t win.
