Ed Rensi, team owner of Bobby Hamilton Jr.’s #25 Ford, said Team Rensi Motorsports plans to run a second car, the #35 Ford, in “over half of the races” in the Busch Series this season. Rensi has talked to several drivers [Elliott Sadler for one] about piloting the car and has signed several minor sponsorship deals for the car, but the second car will not interfere with the efforts of the #25 Ford. “We don’t want to do anything that’s going to take away from this No. 25 program,” Rensi said. ‘The United States Marine Corps has backed us for four years, and we owe them 100 percent of everything we’ve got going on.”
AND a Slim Rensi: Ed Rensi lost 136 pounds during the offseason when he had the now-famous gastro-intestinal bypass surgery, which celebrities such as Al Roker have had. “I feel good and I look good too, don’t I?” Rensi laughed. “I still eat some of the things I want to eat.
