Team Rensi Motorsports announced the signing of Mechanicsville, VA native Kevin Grubb to a 10-race agreement in 2004. Despite his relatively young age, 25, Grubb has made 170 NASCAR Busch Series starts. Grubb will pilot the # 35 NASCAR Busch Series Team Rensi Motorsports Ford Taurus with horsepower provided by Robert Yates Engines. The 10 races and sponsors will be announced in the near future. Co-owner Sam Rensi welcomed Grubb to the Team Rensi Motorsports family. “I really believe that Kevin has the talent to be a superstar in our sport with the right equipment. Team Rensi Motorsports will provide a top-notch team for Kevin to show his abilities. We will showcase many different brands and products on the # 35 car with Kevin this year.” Grubb considers the Team Rensi Motorsports opportunity the best of his career. “I am so excited about this opportunity with Team Rensi Motorsports,” Grubb said. “They have firmly established themselves as one of the best teams in the NASCAR Busch Series and I want to do all I can to help Bobby Hamilton, Jr. win the NASCAR Busch Series Championship this season.” Veteran mechanic Charles Wright will serve as the crew chief for Grubb.
