Former Fairgrounds Speedway racer Deborah Renshaw has joined the Richard Petty Driving Experience as an instructor. Renshaw, who resides in the Charlotte [NC] area, will help conduct a driving school at Kentucky Motor Speedway later this month. Renshaw currently has no ride but has not given up on her driving ambition. She is scheduled to visit Music City Motorplex on Saturday night and may run some races there later on.(Tennessean)(5-5-2004)
AND Deborah Renshaw left Music City Motorplex two years ago as a successful race driver. Tonight she returns as a successful car owner. Chevy White has driven one of Renshaw’s cars to two wins this season, and holds the lead in the premier Late Model division. Going into tonight’s 75-lap feature White holds a 35-point lead over Travis Trotter. Mark Day is in third, seven points behind Trotter. Renshaw was White’s teammate two years ago when she became the first woman to win a pole in the feature division and lead the series point standings. She moved to the Charlotte area to pursue her racing career, and currently works as an instructor with the Richard Petty Driving Experience.
