NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series driver Dale Jarrett announced today that he and his wife Kelley will continue their support of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation through a new on-track performance-based program they created. The Dale Jarrett Foundation, formed by Dale and Kelley in 2002, will provide the primary funding for the new program. With Ford Credit not returning as an associate sponsor of the #88 UPS Ford this season, Dale and Kelley Jarrett began looking for a way to continue their support of the Komen Foundation. Ultimately, they decided to create their own performance-based program benefiting Komen. The Jarretts new program will generate donations of $10,000 when Dale wins, $7,500 for second place, $5,000 for third, $4,500 for fourth, $4,000 for fifth and decrease by $500 increments to $1,500 for 10th place finishes. Each pole position earned by Jarrett will generate an additional $5,000 donation.(Dale Jarrett Foundation PR)(1-27-2005)
