Former USAC midget champion Stevie Reeves competed in the Copper World’s Silver Crown race, his first race of any kind since three Indy-car races at the end of the 2000 season. “I didn’t know how bad I wanted to drive again until I got the car sideways the first time,” the Speedway, Ind., native said Reeves, a machinist at Dale Earnhardt Inc., will compete in the five Silver Crown pavement races this season. He also will be the spotter for DEI’s Paul Menard in the Busch Series.(Indy Star)(2-5-2005)
