#42-Jamie McMurray will race five different Texaco/Havoline “Shine On” paint schemes in 2005. McMurray will drive the first special paint scheme at Texas on April 17.(RacingOne)(12-7-2004)

UPDATE 2: Jamie McMurray, a third-year veteran of the Texaco/Havoline race team, will be charging the competition with four new paint schemes during in 2005. Each unique vehicle leverages Texaco’s trademark “Shine On” theme, including a retro paint scheme marrying the Texaco/Havoline logo and “Shine On” graphics. These inspired designs pay tribute to Texaco/Havoline’s successful NASCAR history while emphasizing the iconic status of the star. “The star has always symbolized quality and performance,” says Danny Roden, vice president of North American marketing for ChevronTexaco. The “Shine On” series is about honoring that heritage and using vibrant new designs to reinforce it”. This season marks Texaco/Havoline’s 18th consecutive year as sponsor in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series. McMurray will drive the #42 Texaco/Havoline Dodge with a different “Shine On” paint scheme at each of the following Nextel Cup races:
· Dallas, TX: April 17, 2005
· Charlotte, NC: May 29, 2005
· Sonoma, CA: June 26, 2005
· Talladega, AL: October 2, 2005
