#9-Mark Martin won the Stater Brothers 300 at California Speedway, his first Busch Series win since Sept 2000 at Darlington and 46th of his career, Martin is the Busch Series all-time leader in wins. #21-Kevin Harvick was 2nd and takes the points lead, the rest of the top five were #32-Shane Hmiel, #2-Clint Bowyer and rookie #41 Reed Sorenson. Pole sitter #33-Tony Stewart ended up 29th after having tire problems late in the race. Martin led 102 of the 150 laps. The race was red-flagged for 25 minutes for a brief rain shower.
