#16-Jack Sprague won the Chex 400 at Texas Motor Speedway for his first 2005 win. #23-Johnny Benson finished 2nd and said during his interview he was ‘bummed’, it is Benson’s 4th career 2nd place finish in 35 career starts. Rounding out the top-5 were #46-Dennis Setzer, #5-Mike Skinner and #88-Matt Crafton. The win is Spragues 25th of his career and gets Sprague into the top-10 points. #65-Clay Rogers finished 8th, in only his 2nd career start. #1-Ted Musgrave, the points leader, finished 14th and maintains a scant 17 points lead over #99-Rick Craven. #18-Chase Montgomery was in a wreck on lap 93, and taken to the hospital for observation the race was red flagged for a bit as the truck was blocking the track.
