Q&A: Danica Patrick TSN [The Sporting News]: Do you have aspirations to race in NASCAR?
Patrick: Only if the right situation came about would I think about leaving IndyCar. Honestly, I have to say that I’ve just always wanted to be an IndyCar driver. I race because it’s fun, and I race because I love it, not because I want to make money. I wouldn’t go race for a different team because they paid me a ton more money if I think I couldn’t do as well as where I’m at. I think there’s only so much money you need to be happy, and the rest of it is just problematic and costs you a lot of money when it comes to tax time.(Sporting News/Brandon Mudd)(6-21-2005)
