#22-Bill Lester won the pole for the Built Ford Tough 225 pres. by Greater Cincinnati Ford Dealers at Kentucky Speedway with a track record of 178.141mph [the old record was 169.641 by Jon Wood in 2003]. It was Lester’s second consecutive pole and 2nd of the season. Rookie #50-Todd Kluever was 2nd, followed by #17-David Reutimann, #16-Jack Sprague, and #5-Mike Skinner. Points leader, #46-Dennis Setzer will start 18th. Missing the race were #63-Justin Allgaier and #76-Blake Mallory.
