#2-Clint Bowyer won the pole for the ITT Industries, Systems Division and Goulds Pumps Salute to the Troops 250 presented by Dodge [WHEW!] at Pikes Peak International Raceway with a speed of 133.611mph. Rounding out the top-5 are #1-Johnny Sauter, #64-Bill Elliott Dodge, #11-Paul Menard and #6-Casey Atwood. #60-Hank Parker Jr. failed to qualify but the #60 made the field by owners points and is slated to start 42nd, Carl Edwards will race the car and take the short trip to the rear of the field before the start of the race. Points leader, #8-Martin Truex Jr. will start 6th. Failing to make the race were #24-Brad Teague, #72-Dale Quarterley, #90-Clint Vahsholtz, #73-Jennifer Cobb.
