Reigning USAC National Midget Car Series champion Bobby East will make his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut on Friday at Indianapolis Raceway Park when he will attempt to qualify a third truck for Roush Racing as part of Ford Racing’s driver development program. East was unable to get some seat time behind the No. 33 F-150 at IRP in preparation for [Friday night’s race], but did turn about 100 laps last Monday in a Busch Series car thanks to Brewco Motorsports. After splitting from his USAC team – Lewis Racing – last week, East will be using some of his open weekends to get ready for a possible full season of NASCAR Busch or Truck Series competition next season.(RacingOne via BGNRacing)(8-5-2005)
