#38-Elliott Sadler won the Budweiser Pole for the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard at Indianapolis Motor Speedway with a speed of 184.117mph for his 2nd pole of 2005 and 4th of his career. His other pole this season was at Bristol. Starting next to Sadler will be #19-Jeremy Mayfield, followed by #15-Michael Waltrip, #9-Kasey Kahne and #25-Brian Vickers. #7-Robby Gordon is the highest starting non-top 35 team, running a lap of 181.943 and will start 13th. #44-Terry Labonte had to use a past champions provisional to make the field. #91-Bill Elliott made it on speed and #04-Bobby Hamilton makes his first race of 2005.
