UPDATE: Purple Heart Decal on #01 Army Car, Sunday, Aug. 7 is recognized as Purple Heart Day as a tribute to Soldiers who have received the Purple Heart. An image of the medal will be featured on the U.S. Army Chevrolet driven by Joe Nemechek during this weekend’s NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series race, the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard. The Purple Heart was first created on Aug. 7, 1792 by Gen.
