Michel Jourdain Jr. is set to resume his rookie Busch Series campaign after a six-week hiatus due to lack of sponsorship. The former Champ Car driver will return to ppc Racings Ford Taurus thanks to newfound sponsorship from Centrix Financial, which also backs Boris Saids part-time #36 Nextel Cup effort. The deal currently puts Jourdain on the car for the upcoming Fontana (September 3), Kansas (Oct 8), Charlotte (Oct 14) and Texas (Nov 5) Busch races. Im very thankful for this new support from Centrix. I have been working to return to competition and I am ready to go back to racing with ppc, stated Jourdain, who had previous Busch outings in all the abovementioned tracks besides Kansas.” Jourdain is contracted to return with ppc Racing for the 2006 Busch season, and the team continues to work on finding a full-time sponsor for next years campaign.(Speed Channel)(8-30-2005)
