UPDATE: Derrike Cope will team with Carl Long and drive a second car for McGlynn Motorsports at this weekend’s race at Martinsville, Virginia. The 1990 Daytona 500 winner will drive the GoldenPalace.com #08 Chevy. Although Derrike runs a limited NASCAR schedule, he is a proven driver with a record of nearly 10% of his starts resulting in a top ten finish. Derrike has been tabbed as driver for McGlynn Racing for this event as well as selected NASCAR Nextel Cup endeavors for the remainder of this season.
