Officials of RWI Racing, LLC announced that veteran mechanic Bryant Frazier, has been hired as the team’s crew chief, effective immediately. Frazier replaces interim crew chief Steve Darne, who will stay with the team in his previous role as car chief. Darne was named interim crew chief midway through the 2005 season, following the release of the team’s previous crew chief, Blake Bainbridge. “We’re very pleased to have a crew chief of Bryant’s caliber on board with us. He has a lot of veteran experience and definitely has proven his leadership ability in the garage,” said RWI Racing team owner, Rusty Wallace. “We have a young and talented team; hopefully the veteran experience that Bryant brings will be what we need to put our Dodges in victory lane. Steve Darne was put in a tough situation and did a great job for us this season. He’s a great asset to our organization and we look forward to continuing to have him on our team.”(RWI PR)(11-3-2005)
