As preparations for the 2006 NASCAR Busch Series season amplify, team and driver discussions continue to circulate throughout the racing community. In effort to solidify our presence in the sport, Yellow Transportation is busy preparing for its eighth year of team sponsorship. As previously stated, their dedication to the continued success of our racing program is unyielding and an official announcement regarding their 2006 race team partner will be made public in the New Year.(Yellow PR), no word on the new team, but supposedly Yellow will NOT be back with the #1 Phoenix Racing team or new driver Jason Keller.(12-30-2005)
UPDATE: hearing that Yellow Transportation will follow Johnny Sauter to the Haas Racing team in 2006, the team had Justin Labonte as the driver of the #44 Coast Guard [who goes to RCR in 2006] Chevy. Yellow Transportation was the sponsor for the #1 PhoenixRacing team in 2005 with Sauter driving. No word on Labonte’s 2006 plans.(1-4-2006)
UPDATE 2: [Johnny] Sauter will drive this seasons Busch Series car, with Yellow Transportation, Inc. as the primary sponsor. Team Yellow Racing will retain the #00 for the newly-painted Monte Carlo. (Haas CNC Racing Site)(1-14-2006)
