Michael Fatback McSwain, who stepped down as crew chief from the Wood Brothers #21 Ford to oversee the teams move from Mooresville, NC, to Harrisburg, NC, and the competition end of the teams merger and expansion, will be back atop the pit box later this season. McSwain will be the crew chief for Jon Woods #47 Wood Brothers/JTG Racing Ford, which will be entered in seven Cup races. And there could be more such work in the future. Have I done my last (full-time) crew chiefing? Have I been on the pit box for the last time? I dont know, McSwain said. Me personally, the only thing that Id like to do that I havent done Id like to win a championship. If I could take a young guy whos learning to be a Cup crew chief and help him or teach him, thatd be equally as gratifying as me doing it myself.(Speed Channel)(1-26-2006)
