Chad Blount is using this weekend’s ARCA RE/MAX Series event as a test session and said he has been hired to drive the #37 Dodge in the Nextel Cup Series for owner John Carter. Blount said the team is looking for sponsorship but plans to run the full 2006 Nextel Cup schedule. Blount is driving a Dodge prepared by Hagans Racing with assistance from Mark Gibson Racing.(Catchfence.com), no word if Blount will enter the Rookie of the Year race which is now up to eight drivers.(2-11-2006)
