Tough Day for Crew Members at Atlanta:

As #41-Reed Sorenson exited the pits after a stop during a caution period on lap 190, his #41 Dodge struck John Slusher, the catch-can holder for Robby Gordon’s #7 crew. Slusher lay on his back on pit road while being treated. He was taken by ambulance to the track’s care center, where he was evaluated, treated and released, according to NASCAR officials. Joe Kruschek, the rear tire changer on Jamie McMurray’s #26 Ford, also was injured on a pit stop and taken to Spalding Regional Medical Center. He suffered a broken left thumb and required stitches in his right forefinger.(Atlanta Journal-Constitution)(3-21-2006)
