Kyle Petty told Benny Parsons on his nationally syndicated “Fast Talk” radio program [PRN] Monday night that Petty Enterprises would certainly consider switching to Toyota if it made the team more competitive. While Petty said nothing is currently on the horizon with the Japanese manufacturer, PE would be open to doing anything to help the team win.(RacingOne)(5-16-2006)
UPDATE: Kyle Petty told Sirius Speedway (MRN/Sirius Satellite Radio) Tuesday that comments attributed to him concerning interest in Toyota were taken out of context. “Benny Parsons asked me if I would be interested in talking to Toyota, if it would benefit the team,” said Petty. “I told him that I would never say never, but that we are extremely happy with what we have (with Dodge) and have no plans to change.
