Stephen Wallace told Sirius Speedway (MRN/Sirius Satellite Radio) that he is working to schedule a handful of Nextel Cup starts with his father’s Rusty Wallace, Inc., team. “I’ve been beating it into my father’s head 365 days a year to do something,” said Wallace. “I’ve got him about 90-percent there, and I think we’ll have some kind of announcement soon. We’ve got the groundwork in place for a lot of ARCA and Busch racing in the next year or so, but I want to run a couple of Cup races, too. I know we’re in this for the long haul, and there’s plenty of time. But I want to do it.” Wallace was at Michigan International Speedway Tuesday watching David Stremme test an RWI ARCA car, in preparation for running the Hantz Group 200 there on June 16th.(MRN/Sirius Satellite Radio)(5-25-2006)
