Todd Bodine comes back from a lap down to win the Sams Town 400 at Texas Motor Speedway. With six laps to go, the 4-second lead of Mike Skinner’s went down the drain and a faster Todd Bodine in the #30 Lumber Liquidators Toyota driving hard on the outside. passed Skinner to come up with the win. Rounding out the top five; Mike Skinner in 2nd, Rick Crawford 3rd, David Reutimann 4th, with Johnny Benson coming in 5th. The top rookie, Erik Darnell, had trouble early and it was an opportunity for Aric Almirola to pick up a few points. But it was not the case, as Almirola also had trouble early on. Chad McCumbee, running the Gene Christensen/Bobby Dotter #08 Dodge, was the first Dodge across the line, finishing in 9th place. McCumbee also took top Raybestos Rookie honors for the race. Michel Jourdain started 30th in the #50 Roush Racing Ford finished 13th. And newcome, Ryan Moore, did a respectable job in the #40 Key Motorsports Chevy ending up 14th after starting 31st.(6-9-2006)
