Johnny Benson picks up his first Truck Series win:

A late race caution brought on a green-white-checkered finish, however, race leader Johnny Benson was able to hold off Mark Martin to win the Con-Way Freight 200 at Michigan Int’l Speedway. This is Benson’s first win in the Truck Series, and he joins an elite group of only 17 drivers who have won in all three NASCAR series. A good run by Bobby Labonte in the #4 Bobby Hamilton Racing Dodge as he finished the race in third. Todd Bodine, after starting in 25th place and struggling with a loose truck all day, still managed to move through the pack and come home in 4th place. Rounding out the top 5 was the #14 Circle Bar Ford of Rick Crawford; another good run by that team. The top finishing rookie was #99, Eric Darnell who finished 12th. There were 14 lead changes among 6 drivers; 8 cautions. Bodine still maintains the points lead, but David Reutimann has quietly snuck into 2nd place in the standings.(6-17-2006)
