Chris Cook, a veteran racer and driving instructor, will drive the #49 DSI Dodge Charger for BAM Racing this weekend in the Dodge/Save Mart 350 at Infineon Raceway. The 34-year-old Cook, who owns the Shift Into Gear driving school, has tutored numerous NASCAR teams and drivers including Robert Yates Racing and Nextel Cup Champion Tony Stewart. As a driving instructor, he was the youngest chief instructor in the history of the Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving in Phoenix, AZ. Cook’s prior NASCAR Nextel Cup Series start came at Infineon Raceway in 2005 behind the wheel of the #87 Chevy owned by Joe Nemechek.
