Steadman Marlin [who is looking for a full time Truck/Busch ride], driving a fire-engine red #711 that his late grandfather, Coo Coo Marlin, made famous decades ago, swept to victory in a 75-lap Late Model feature at Music City Motorplex [Nashville].. “This was the 100th victory for the Marlin family here at the (formerly) Fairgrounds,” he said. “That’s been me, granddad and dad (Nextel Cup star Sterling). I didn’t know that till this week when somebody figured it up and told me about it.” Marlin, 25, drives a limited schedule in the local series in which his grandfather won four track championships and his father won three. The race was just Marlin’s seventh of the season at the track where his family made so much history over the years. Steadman is running a partial Busch Series schedule for Nashville-based Sadler Racing.(Tennessean)(8-6-2006)
