Ron Hornaday returned to his roots this weekend, running a Super Late Model race at Orange Show Speedway, in San Bernardino, California. In a Gary Stockman owned, Chevrolet Monte Carlo, Hornaday felt right at home at a track he ran at before getting the call to drive the late Dale Earnhardt’s NASCAR Truck Series entry in the series inaugural season. Hornaday was a Southern California short track master, and the race this weekend found Hornaday racing against drivers he ran with on the South West Tour years ago. The car adorned the #33 and the AES logo, the newly announced sponsor of Hornaday’s Craftsman Truck Series entry for KHI.(RonHornaday.com)(10-16-2006)
