Erik Darnell was the Raybestos Rookie of the Race at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Darnell finished third, his third top-five and ninth top-10 finish of the 2006 season. He took Raybestos Rookie of the Race honors for the 12th time in 22 races. Darnell led the race twice for eight laps and was the only Raybestos Rookie to lead a lap at Atlanta. Chad McCumbee had a strong performance at Atlanta. McCumbee finished seventh, equaling his best finish of the 2006 season. McCumbee racked up his third top-10 finish in 21 Craftsman Truck Series starts. Darnell leads McCumbee by 55 points (199-144) in the Raybestos Rookie standings entering the November 3 Silverado 350K at Texas Motor Speedway.
