Ginn Racing brought three cars, five drivers and various crew members to Lakeland, FL on Monday to test their short-track programs. But more important for the four young drivers in the Ginn Racing stable, it was a time for learning. Regan Smith [who will share the #01 with Martin in 2007], Kraig Kinser, Jesus Hernandez and Ricky Carmichael [who are Ginn Development drivers expected to drive in the truck series] each took their share of laps around the speedway – a 3/4-mile paved oval with 14-degree banking, the same as Richmond. When each one of them came in from their practice runs, veteran driver #01-Mark Martin, who drove the #6 AAA Ford this past Nextel Cup season, knelt by their windows to discuss their laps.(The Ledger)(12-15-2006)
