Stewart wins Bud Shootout:

#20-Tony Stewart won his third Budweiser Shootout, passing #5-Kyle Busch [who led the most laps, 39 of 70] with eight laps to go and held off a hard charging #38-David Gilliland [finished 2nd]. #2-Kurt Busch was 3rd, followed by #48-Jimmie Johnson and #29-Kevin Harvick. Pole sitter #44-Dale Jarrett [in a Toyota] never led a lap and fell to the back of the pack with an ill-handling car and finished 17th. #24-Jeff Gordon [21st] and #12-Ryan Newman [20th] both had engine problems and failed to finish the race. As Stewart was to take the checkered flag to win, #8-Dale Earnhardt Jr. got into #19-Elliott Sadler, who then got into #11-Denny Hamlin, who spun into the wall and collected #9-Kasey Kahne.
