Until this week’s event at Kentucky, Mike Skinner and Jason Leffler shared the record [12] for most consecutive races led from a season’s first event. But Skinner broke that record when he took the lead for the first time on lap one in the Built Ford 225 at Kentucky. Skinner has led at least one lap in 16 consecutive starts beginning Oct. 28, 2006 at Atlanta Motor Speedway. That is a continuing series record.(NASCAR PR)(7-14-2007)
