#42-Juan Pablo Montoya was the Raybestos Rookie of the Race in the July 29 Allstate 400 at The Brickyard at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Montoya finished second and took top rookie honors for the ninth time this season. Montoya’s finish was the best effort by a Raybestos Rookie in 14 races at Indy. Montoya leads #6-David Ragan by 24 points (208-184) in the Raybestos Rookie standings entering the August 5 Pennsylvania 500 at Pocono Raceway. Montoya is 18th in the Nextel Cup Series championship standings, best of any Raybestos Rookie. A Raybestos Rookie has won at least one race in each of the past three consecutive seasons. Denny Hamlin was the Raybestos Rookie of the Race in the 2006 Pennsylvania 500.
