Sam Conway passed away at the age of 58 early Saturday morning after a valiant battle with lung cancer. The Tampa, Fla.-native was team manager for Darrell Waltrips Winston Cup Series team in the 1990s and served on the board of directors for Motor Racing Outreach for 10 years. Conways son, Kevin, currently races a limited schedule in the Busch Series for Joe Gibbs Racing. Funeral arrangements are still pending.(8-25-2007)
