Danny O’Quinn Jr., a Coeburn native, has spent this season in limbo from Roush Fenway Racing following his Busch Series rookie of the year season last year. Answers are no more forthcoming now, as O’Quinn has run three races for Roush, five for Mac Hill Motorsports and one for Stanton Barrett. “I’m still kind of waiting to see what’s going on with Roush right now and running part time at Mac Hill,” O’Quinn said. “We’re trying to get some stuff where we can run some more here. We’re definitely kind of anxious to find out what’s going on at Roush. They still haven’t told me what I’m going to be doing, or if I’ll even be doing anything.” That’s because Jack Roush said he doesn’t know anything to tell O’Quinn. “He’s in the inventory of people that would like to drive the cars,” Roush said. “I don’t have a sponsor that is ready to be on his car. I don’t have clear definition from how many programs Ford will support us on next year. It’s too early to say that there will or will not be something for Danny. I just don’t know what it is today.”(Richmond Times Dispatch)(9-9-2007)
