Chip Ganassi Racing President Steve Laulette says the team plans to have two full-time Nationwide Series cars for 2008, but sponsorship hasn’t been finalized for the second car, which will be the #41. Dario Franchitti, Reed Sorenson and Scott Pruett are slated to drive the #40 Fastenal-sponsored Dodge in most of the 35 Nationwide races this year, with development driver Bryan Clauson also getting a few events. “Once we get the second car finalized, then we’ll be able to look at [Clauson] and say, ‘OK, do we pull him out of some of those and put him in a second car?'” Lauletta said. “It’s a few moving pieces. I’m not sure he’s going to get a full season this year, but he’ll get at least half.” And if Clauson is moved to the #41, Kevin Hamlin will replace him in the #40. CGR has changed crew chiefs for the two teams, with Brian Pattie taking over as crew chief for the #41 and Brad Parrott becoming crew chief of the #40 team.(SceneDaily.com)(1-28-2008)
