Theres been no shortage of open-wheel racers switching to NASCAR. Now we have someone going the other way. Former Nextel Cup and Busch Series driver Brent Sherman has tested for Panther Racings Indy Pro Series car. Sherman isnt a stranger to open-wheelers, though. He spent two years racing in the Barber Dodge Pro Series. In 2000 he tested a Toyota Atlantic car.(Palm Beach Post)(1-10-2008)
UPDATE: Panther Racing announced it has signed former NASCAR driver Brent Sherman to pilot its Indy Pro Series car for the 2008 season. Sherman recently completed a test with Panther on the road course at Homestead Miami Speedway, and Panther team owner John Barnes believes the Minnesota-born driver can lead his IPS team to another championship season.(2-19-2008)
