Dario Franchitti was the Raybestos Rookie of the Race in the Sams Town 300 at Las Vegas. Franchitti claimed a sixth-place finish, his best effort in seven Nationwide Series races. He has claimed Raybestos Rookie of the Race honors in two of the three Nationwide Series races this season. Franchitti holds a 12-point lead (37-25) over Bryan Clauson in the Raybestos Rookie standings entering the March 8 Nicorette 300 at Atlanta. Franchitti is ninth in the Nationwide Series championship standings, best of any Raybestos Rookie. He leads 10th-place Brad Coleman by 15 points and trails eighth-place Mike Wallace by 13.
