Testing at Road Atlanta:

Robby Gordon has earned a reputation for being one of NASCAR’s dominant road racers. To make sure that his #7 Dodge matches his driver skills in the upcoming road course events, the Robby Gordon Motorsports team headed to Road Atlanta on Wednesday for the first of two road course tests scheduled this season. After just two runs through the course, Gordon was very satisfied with the performance of his race car. “This thing is fast. We can load it up,” Gordon stated. Fellow Dodge driver Patrick Carpentier also took a spin in the #7 and stated that it was “very smooth and predictable.” After a total of 50 laps, Gordon’s times were more competitive than the eight other teams on the track that day, including cars from Roush Fenway Racing (#16,#17,#99), Gillett Evernham Motorsports, and Michael Waltrip Racing. Gordon will make one more road course test before heading west to Sonoma, California to master Infineon Raceway.(RGM PR)(5-23-2008)
