Buskirk, who has been leading DEI’s testing program, will be the crew chief in this weekend’s Coca-Cola 600 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway, and a full-time replacement will be named later.(SceneDaily)(5-21-2008) UPDATE: Today [Tues, May 27] on “SIRIUS Speedway” on SIRIUS NASCAR Radio, host Dave Moody spoke with Regan Smith, driver of the #01 Chevy at Dale Earnhardt Inc. Smith indicated that his new crew chief would be Dan Stillman. Stillman would replace Doug Richert, who left the team after the May 17 All-Star Race. Host, Dave Moody: “I don’t want to get slid here on the breaking news. They’re not going to announce in, like, four hours who your new crew chief is, are they?” Regan Smith: “You know what, I’m not positive on that. I don’t think so but maybe.” Moody: “Do you know who it is?” Smith: “Possibly. I’m not sure if I’m supposed to say anything yet but if I were to tell you Dan Stillman you didn’t hear it from me. I’m excited about Dan coming over and got a chance to talk to him last week some and really think highly of him. And, you know, he’s been at DEI before so he knows the company, knows a lot of people who work here and [I’m] looking forward to working with him this weekend.” “SIRIUS Speedway” airs weekdays (3:00 – 7:00pm/et) exclusively on SIRIUS NASCAR Radio channel 128.(5-27-2008)
