JTG Racing’s Craftsman Truck Series team has shut down, team owner Tad Geschickter confirmed Friday night. Driver Scott Lagasse was 28th in the series points standings, with a best finish of 19th at Auto Club Speedway. JTG had fielded trucks for the previous two seasons under the Wood Brothers/JTG Racing banner, but JTG and the Woods split this season. The Lagasse’s have been friends of mine for a long time, Geschickter said. They brought a sponsor to the table. We had our struggles, thats for sure. We were gaining on it, and Scotts a good driver. In the end, we just all decided we werent making progress as fast as they wanted. They didnt feel like the team was. So we decided just to cease operations. Lagasse and JTG did not enter Friday’s race at Texas Motor Speedway. The sponsor, Nicholson Group Real Estate, is in the housing market.(SceneDaily.com)(6-8-2008)
