Tony Kanaan, the only driver to win at MIS in both the Championship Auto Racing Teams series and the Indy Racing League, is at the speedway this weekend. “I just came here to support my friend, Dario Franchitti,” Kanaan said. “This is my first time at a NASCAR race. I had my first victory at this place. I’ll never forget this place. Every time I drive underneath the tunnel, I get good memories. It’s a good place for me.” Kanaan added that he was not considering a move to NASCAR. Kanaan won the CART race at MIS in 1999 and won the IRL race last August.(Michigan Live)(6-15-2008)
