During the Nationwide Series qualifying session on ESPN, it was noted that Rick Ren is acting as interim crew chief for the #33-KHI Chevy with driver, Kevin Harvick for the Dollar General 300 at Chicagoland Speedway [Ren is currently crew chief for #33-Ron Hornaday]. No word on the status of Wally Rogers but it was mentioned that there would be a personnel change this week at Kevin Harvick Inc.(7-11-2008)
UPDATE: During prerace activities on ESPN, Kevin Harvick said that Wally Rogers has been let go as crew chief for the #33 Nationwide team; felt the needed consistency was not there for the team. Rick Ren will handle one more race in NNS. After that, other team members will take over for a couple of weeks while the situation is evaluated and a decision is made.(7-11-2008)
