Carpentier took top rookie honors for the second consecutive race and for the third time this season. He was credited with a 30th-place finish. #01-Regan Smith leads #77-Sam Hornish Jr. by six points (171-165) in the Raybestos Rookie standings entering the July 27 Allstate 400 at The Brickyard at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Juan Pablo Montoya was the Raybestos Rookie of the Race in the 2007 Brickyard 400, scoring a second-place finish 2.982 seconds behind Tony Stewart. Montoya’s second-place finish is the best by a Raybestos Rookie in 14 previous NASCAR races at Indianapolis.
